This week I announced my candidacy to represent the Valley on the LAUSD school board.  As a public school math teacher, I see that it is getting harder for my students to reach their dreams and potential. 

My middle school students do their best to overcome the stressors of poverty and adolescence to learn.  My colleagues and I do our best to overcome the endless bureaucracy to teach.  But life in the classroom is getting more challenging, not easier.  Things have to change.  That is why I am running for LAUSD school board.

As a teacher, parent, and nonprofit education leader, I have spent the last two decades improving public schools in the San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles.  I am ready to get out and talk about the issues facing our public schools.  With your help, we can bring joy back to our classrooms and help our students achieve their dreams.
